Deborah Elaine Stitely

Deborah Elaine Stitely, 64, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. Born October 23, 1961 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, she was the devoted daughter of the late Elwood and Magnolia (Tanner) Thurston.

Deborah was a caretaker, worked in retail, and a cafeteria aide who in her spare time enjoyed crafting, gardening, and doing all things with flowers. She liked going to yard sales and thrift stores.

She is survived by her children, Gerald Bell and wife Amanda of Littlestown, PA, Kasey Anderson and husband Matthew of Gettysburg, PA, Crystal Allen and husband Brian Sherman of Tucson, AZ, Jeffery Stitely and significant other Lauren Coan of Westminster, MD; grandchildren, Connor, Arianna, Noah, Lylah, Austin, Addilynn, Rowan, Coraline, Brynlee, Blair, and Isaiah; estranged husband, Jeffery Stitely; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was also predeceased by her siblings, Cathy Riddle, Rosemary Phelps, Tony "Anthony" Allen, and Charles "CW" Allen.

A Celebration of Deborah’s Life will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor, 3045 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
