Doris Ethyl Menchey, 93, of Hanover, PA passed away at home on June 19, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Howard David Menchey for 28 years. 

Born March 27, 1931, in Hanover, PA, she was the devoted daughter of the late George and Beulah Wolf.

Doris was a proud homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, feeding friends, relatives, and anyone who was hungry. She was an avid birdwatcher and nature lover, and a seamstress who did sewing for people all over Adams and York Counties.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Menchey, Tommy (Deb) Menchey; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Cindy) Wolf; sister, Shirley Hoover; many nieces and nephews; and cousin, Loretta Wentz.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Menchey; daughter, Julia Menchey; brothers, Lloyd Wolf and Kenneth Wolf; and sister, Lillian Rinker.

A graveside inurnment will be held on Monday, June 24,2024 at 10 am at Rest Haven Cemetery, 723 Boundary Ave, Hanover, PA. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 Madison Street, Hanover, PA, 17331 (www.vnahanover.org/giving). 

Arrangements are with Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor, 3045 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, 17325.
