Francis "Ed" Fisher

Francis Edward Fisher "Ed" passed away early Sunday morning, February 5, 2023, surrounded by his family. Ed was a wonderful husband to Izetta with whom he shared 65 years of life and love. He was a Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and uncle within his family and each and all of us have memories and stories of life lived together, lessons learned and surprising adventures. Ed served three years in service of his country in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal. He worked as a Baltimore City Police officer for 27 years until his retirement from the force and was known by his fellow officers as Frank. Ed then worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel for 22 years completing his time there as the Head of Security. Ed and Izetta raised their children, Eddie, Jeff and Greg with strong commitments to family and faith and Ed affirmed his faith in Christ in his final years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and all eight of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, children, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and will be greatly missed and admired. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, PA. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements are with Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor, Gettysburg, PA.
