b. February 17, 1941

Gettysburg

George "Ed" Livering, 82, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, while surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born February 17, 1941, to the late Arthur "Bud" and Ethel Livering and the second eldest to seven brothers and sisters.

He was a skilled salesman in the upholstery business to which he had many lifelong friends and learned the craft himself over the years. In his spare time, his love for sports was apparent through playing and coaching, softball, volleyball, bowling, basketball and golf.

His appreciation to music could be heard through the various instruments he played with his whole heart. Ed was part of a Bluegrass band which played locally for many years. He touched so many lives and his smile and charm could light up an entire room.

Ed was a wonderful husband to his wife Irene with whom he shared 35 years of life and love.

He was a Son, Brother, Father, Grandpa and Pop within his family and each and all of us have memories and stories of life lived together and lessons learned.

In keeping with his wishes, a private viewing was held for immediate family.

A Celebration of Life may occur at a later date.
