Jack Robert Lewis

Jack Robert Lewis, 75, of Gettysburg, passed away on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Olivia (Zumbrum) Lewis for 54 years. Born September 13, 1949, in Washington, D.C., he was the devoted son of the late Morris M. and Caroline (Wolfersberger) Lewis.

Jack was a Sea Bee in the United States Navy and developed the “Sea Bee’s can do” attitude throughout everything he did in his life. He worked for 51 years as a division manager with EG&G and as a mechanical engineer with Ocean Systems. He was a member of the Montgomery County Fire Department. Jack had a huge personality and always had something to say, whether you liked it or not. He loved to learn and play the stock market. He enjoyed being teased by all those that knew him, his greatest joy in life was his children and grandkids. In his spare time, he loved gardening and always kept a “perfect” yard. Jack and Olivia loved to travel overseas, especially to England and Hawaii, two of their favorite places.

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his son, Timothy C Lewis and fiancé Julie Miller, and his daughter, Christine A. Graham and her husband Derrik. Grandchildren; Adam, Kyle, and Rozalyn. Sister, Sandra Ashen and twin brother; Dick Lewis and wife Josie. And many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th from 5-7 pm at Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor, 3045 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA where a service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th beginning at 11 am. Interment with military honors will follow at St Paul’s Dubs UCC, 1958 Dubs Church Road in Hanover, PA.
