Samantha Jo Souders, 36, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Born October 25, 1987, in Frederick, she was the daughter of Dawn R. (Summers) Jordan and stepdad Richard E. Jordan and James E. Souders, Jr. and his wife Heather E. Souders.
She was a 2005 graduate of Middletown High School. Samantha also attended Catoctin and Walkersville High Schools.
In addition to her parents and step parents, she is also survived by her son, Braxton A. Souders-Mitchem; a sister, Amanda M. Bartlett; a brother, Richard T. Jordan; four step brothers, Joshua W. and George Henning, Brandon R. and Bradley D. Jordan; paternal grandparents, James E. Souders, Sr. and Molly J. Souders; maternal grandmother, Nancy Weller; special niece, Maddie Shea; two loving cousins, Aleasha and Crysta Goff; and her beloved Yorkie, Chloe.
Samantha was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Samuel P. Summers, III; and stepsister, Crystal Dawn (Henning) Durruty.
Samantha loved to sing! She will be remembered as having the most beautiful angelic voice. We're sure she is in Heaven singing with the angels. Sam was artistic. She loved to draw and had a passion for makeup artistry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
